Owen had a great birthday (April 16th). Aunt Jessica and Grandma Ransom came out to visit and we had a great time. We took pizza and cupcakes to his class for a little birthday celebration. It was so cute. The kids were so excited and all ran and hugged the teacher and owen! They ate pizza and then the teacher put on the beach boys and the kids all danced their hearts out. The majority, if not all, of the other kids in his class are dominican and really know how to dance. It was so cute to see them shakin their hips and the girls twirling each other. Owen only had one move- jumping up and down. But he did it very enthusiastically! You could tell he was having a ball! The teacher brought out a bubble blower and the kids all crowded around trying to catch them. After the dancing we circled around for "happy birthday" and the cupcakes. The teacher made him a birthday crown and i think he definitely felt like a king!
We had a picnic dinner later that night and opened his presents from great grandpa Wilson and Nana Shell and grandma ransom. Owen loved the doctor set he got and shouted out "I'm a doctor!" You can see in the pictures below that he had fun doctoring us. He will have to work on his bedside manner though; he was quite rough!
On Saturday we made use of the Zoo Pass we got from the grandparents. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. The Children's Zoo was a hit, they had an awesome slide that twisted down the trunk of a tree house. Owen got to feed a llama. But the big hit was the Skyfari, owen absolutely loved ridding on the tram!

Happy Birthday, Owen. The party looks like fun. Owen looks so handsome and grown up in his uniform. Does he like school? I signed Hudson up for pre-school starting this fall. It's exciting and kind of crazy at the same time. Like, how did my little babe become a four year old?

Those were cute photographs. I was beginning to think Owen was the only boy in the class as he was surrounded by girls in the first few pictures.
It looks as though he had a wonderful time. We look forward to seeing you again once your self-imposed travel ban is lifted. :)
It's crazy that they grow so fast. Especially when we never see each other. Happy birthday dude!
